International Students

Bellevue School welcomes international students from a variety of countries. International Students are found at all levels of the school, and we offer amazing support and opportunities to ensure our children gain the most from their New Zealand experience.

Bellevue School supports an inclusive model of practice and therefore all international students will be mainstreamed and will engage in an integrated curriculum from a personalised learning approach. There will be an emphasis on Numeracy (Mathematics) and Literacy (English) and a balanced curriculum across the remaining five learning areas: Science, Social Sciences, The Arts, Technology, Health and PE.

International students will also have the opportunity to engage in extra-curriculum activities, which include the school choir, camps, sports teams, summer and winter inter-school sports, IT programmes, enrichment programmes and Kapahaka.

All international students will attend an English as a Second Language (ESOL) programme which is overseen by the Teacher in Charge of International Students and run by the ESOL teacher aide.
