Bellevue School is soon to have its very own Community Montessori Preschool, enabling the school to offer seamless education excellence for children from the ages of 3 to 11. Bellevue School promotes quality teaching and nurtures a life-long love of learning through self-discovery, within an inclusive, values-based education system. These values and personalized learning are fundamental within Montessori education and are now an integral part of the New Zealand Revised Curriculum.

Bellevue School has long been recognized as a forward-thinking school, able to embrace and benefit from different educational philosophies and fresh ideas. The establishment of a preschool onsite will mean that families will have the choice of their children progressing on to either mainstream or Montessori Primary classrooms, both within the same familiar environment.

“For their whole seven years of preschool and primary education, children will be able to form lasting relationships within an educational community providing consistency in educational standards, philosophy and values”, says Dave Bell, Principal of Bellevue School.

The preschool is being created by a community group of parents and teachers, to be run on a not-for-profit basis. It will be funded by that community and its supporters. Construction will commence as soon as funding allows.
